Pacific Rim Objective Measurement Symposium

PROMS is the annual professional meeting symposium of the Pacific Rim Objective Measurement Society. PROMS was established in 2005 to promote objective measurement around the Pacific Rim by contributing to the research and development of Rasch measurement. The symposium consists of a conference and associated workshops for the sharing of knowledge and applications of the Rasch model with the international community. The PROMS conference features leading international speakers, presentations by colleagues and graduate students from universities and related professionals, as well as panel discussions.

This year's PROMS will be held at Universiti Malaysia Sabah in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, with two days of workshops on August 5 and 6 preceding the main conference from August 7 through 9.

Previous PROMS Conferences have been held in Malaysia (2005, 2010), Hong Kong (2006, 2009), Taiwan (2007, 2013), Japan (2008,2015), Singapore (2011), and China (2012, 2014, 2016).

We invite submissions from any field across the human sciences, including business, education, health and psychology. These could report researches applying the Rasch Model, discuss advances in the practice of measurement, or review modern measurement theory.

See you in Kota Kinabalu in August 2017!
